Job Summary: The Lead Commercial Roofing Service Technician will oversee and perform maintenance, repair, and service work on commercial roofing systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial roofing systems and capable of leading a team to successfully complete service projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various commercial roofing systems, including but not limited to TPO, EPDM, PVC, and built-up roofs.

  • Lead a team of roofing technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot roofing issues, providing recommendations and solutions to clients.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and photos of completed work.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to provide updates and address concerns.

  • Monitor inventory and ensure necessary tools and materials are available for projects.

  • Stay updated on industry standards, new technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on repair and maintenance.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing or supervising teams.

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

  • OSHA certification (preferred).

  • Bilingual skills (a plus).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.

  • Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, and kneeling.
